So far, I've used Iris Clarity in Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meets and had success. 

Everyone in my meetings was impressed with how it canceled the noise. I had my wife talking next to me and tested random things like clapping. Overall, very little background noise.

Iris Clarity won't cancel all the noise, but it will cancel most. I could imagine that this would work well in a café and eliminate noises around you like people talking and the room ambiance. However, when a waiter drops a tray of dishes, the sound will be heard.

Can Iris Clarity be used outside of Zoom?

Yes!

I make screen recording with other software like QuickTime and ScreenFlow, so I need something that can work outside of a browser. Iris Clarity does as it becomes one of the audio options I can select during my recordings.

Any negative feedback with Iris Clarity?

For the lifetime price, not really.

The notion of a background noise eliminator gets mixed with the idea of a voice enhancer. This won't make your voice sound better. I noticed my voice sounding slightly robotic, which is fine for online meetings. But if you're recording yourself singing, it would still be better to find a moment where you have silence around you.
